Description
Marc de Corte's "Shake it all off with me" is much more than a sculpture — it is a moment of awakening, captured in all its truth.
A feminine figure, both graceful and powerful, rises delicately on tiptoe, suspended between earth and sky. Her body opens in a gesture of liberation, her arms outstretched, her face turned toward the light—like a peaceful surrender, imbued with absolute trust in the flow of life. There is in this posture a silent strength, a luminous courage: the courage to let go, to fully embrace, to reveal oneself.
This edition is all the more remarkable for its polished bronze finish, enhanced by a glossy varnish. This treatment lends the work a decidedly contemporary dimension: the bronze loses its usual density to become light, almost vibrant, capturing the light and interacting with its surroundings. As the hours pass, the sculpture evolves, transforms, and radiates.
The light caresses the curves of the body, revealing its sensuality and fluidity. One has the feeling that it absorbs the energy of the world in order to better give it back — a living, almost breathing presence.
Marc de Corte manages here to translate an inner state with rare precision: that precise moment when one lets go, when one opens oneself to a profound freedom. A deeply contemporary work, yet one whose emotional resonance is universal.
For a collector, it's not simply a work to contemplate, but an inspiring presence in everyday life. A sculpture that doesn't just inhabit a space, but elevates it and breathes life into it.

Presentation
• Born in 1974 in Nieuwpoort, Belgium
• Marc De Corte proves in his work that classic and contemporary can be perfectly combined. This is why he regrets that modeling is increasingly being left behind in the teaching of contemporary art. Marc De Corte's images are born from a quest for beauty, and because they must come from his heart.
• What makes bronze statues unique and so sought after by art lovers is the movement they exude. Marc De Corte likes to draw inspiration from modern dance, but there is also a very strong Art Nouveau influence. The result is graceful images with balance as the main theme.
• In addition to a classical and more romantic language, Marc De Corte does not shy away from modern issues: his works are characterized by distance and the desire for contact in a pandemic context, the independence and strength of women, the search for one's own identity in relationships with others and maintaining mental balance as one of the main challenges for each individual strongly questioned in our society today.
