Description
This figurative sculpture explores the human through streamlined and stylized forms. The body merges into a generous sphere, a symbol of fullness and softness. A red ribbon crosses the composition, bringing immediate visual dynamism. This chromatic contrast emphasizes the fluidity of movement.
Here the artist works with stoneware, a noble material shaped by earth and fire.
The texture of the stoneware shows natural cracks, witnesses to the Raku technique.
The balance between geometric rigor and organic curve defines the aesthetic of this creation.
Presentation
Passionate about the arts, I began by painting, then I discovered 'THE EARTH' and all the richness and beauty it has to offer.
Water, earth and fire – three elements essential to life – fascinate me.
My current work focuses on couples, family, friends and femininity, using Raku techniques and the ultimate test of fire. I try to convey a message or symbolism: surprises, joys and, sometimes, disappointments right up to the last minute. I trained at the Douai School of Art.
I run an 'Expression terre' workshop and a 'Children's' workshop in Templeuve-en-Pévéle, as sharing is very important to me.
