Description
This sculpture is part of the energy of Pop Art and Street Art. It revisits iconic codes with a playful and subversive approach. The silhouette, with its generous curves, exudes immediate cheerfulness. The work on color favors an orange and gold gradient. This pearlescent finish catches the light to accentuate the character's relief.
The composition plays on the contrast between the softness of the shapes and the insolence of the message. The base incorporates textured letters, recalling the urban aesthetic and contemporary graphic codes. The artist uses a precise mix of wood, resin, and plexiglass.
The whole is protected by an epoxy paint that ensures a uniform shine. This piece explores the boundary between the design object and modern sculpture. It reflects a culture influenced by rock imagery and the spirit of the 80s. The character, finger raised, seems to challenge the viewer with malice. The work rests on an immaculate white block which highlights the chromatic saturation of the resin.
Presentation
Fred Morgan, a French artist born in 1973 in Gap in the Hautes-Alpes region, creates a vibrant and intensely colorful pop universe where sculpture, painting, and digital graphic design intertwine. A rebel with a tender heart, he draws his inspiration from the rock and pop energy of the 80s, as well as the lively culture of DJs. His work subverts conventions, plays with insolence, and asserts total creative freedom. His most emblematic works, often inspired by the provocative "FUCK" motif, humorously and brilliantly question the role of expression and attitude in contemporary art.
An instinctive and resolutely modern artist, Fred Morgan imposes an immediately recognizable style, between assumed impertinence and chromatic joy.
