Marc Schilovitz

Marc Schilovitz

Born in: 1959

France

Marc Schilovitz was born and lives in Paris. He started to take photographs in the 80s. After working in the aerospace industry, he flew to Brazil for a sabbatical year. He learns by himself and from people he meets, and he becomes a photographer. Between the future and the past, as a driver looking at the road in his rear-view mirror, this movement takes all of a sudden another dimension, a subliminal one. When he returns to France, he joins the photojournalism of the CFPJ. His work the takes in different areas of the cities he visits, he likes to get lost in space and in time with the speed of light, shadow is his tool, and images show him his path. He keeps one eye open, and the other one closed, on himself and on others.
