Damien Gard

Born in: 1978 France
Damien Gard started his photographic practice in 2007. He made a career as a fashion and advertising photographer but he continues working on personal projects in parallel.

In 2009 he took a trip to the USA, producing the series 'USA Today', comprising 30 photographs, mainly color. Damien Gard is interested in urban atmosphere, and this is visible in Hollywood Dream Is Not Dead, visibly influenced by Martin Parr.

His work also explores the possibilities of the photographic medium, the possible supports and its history. The light noxes and the videos that he combines with photography in some works are a food example. He also tries old printing and processing techniques.
