Description
“Outgoing Lilies of the Season" is a botanical study drawn from life, observing lilies at a moment when their flowering cycle is coming to an end.
The work reflects on impermanence, transition and the changing states of natural life. Rather than treating fading as a loss it observes the subtle beauty that appears when a plant moves from one stage of existence to another. The influence of the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi can be felt in this acceptance of transience, imperfection and the quiet dignity of things in the process of changing.
As an early work from 2023, it also offers an insight into an earlier stage of the artist's continuing exploration of plants, impermanence and the relationship between observation and meaning.
Materials: colored pencils on smooth fine art paper, 160 g/m²

Tanya Sviatlichnaya is an artist who uses classic techniques in a realistic approach with elements of symbolism and impressionism to create paintings inspired by the natural manifestations that are being observed in the surrounding.
Tanya's goal is to reflect the atmosphere of love and kindness in creating paintings, to convey sensations and emotions in the moment, and to identify humans and nature.
As a result, her artworks are a celebration of our environment, as well as a call to pause, look about and feel yourself a part of this wonderful Earth mechanism.
