Description
This artwork is a vibrant explosion of color and texture, featuring a dynamic array of multicolored dots scattered across a white background. The artist masterfully blends hues of red, orange, blue, green, and yellow, creating a lively and chaotic visual experience. The edges of the piece are slightly rough and torn, adding a raw, organic feel that enhances its authenticity. Wisps of darker strokes intertwine across the surface, introducing depth and movement that draw the viewer's eye. This interplay of softness and intensity creates a sense of spontaneity and unbridled creativity. The layering technique, hinted by slight translucency in places, invites viewers to explore deeper meanings and interpretations. This piece stands out for its ability to convey both chaos and harmony, engaging the observer in an active dialogue with the art itself.
Presentation
Born in Georgia, he studied Literature at the University of Tbilisi, Georgia. He holds a PhD in Humanities from the University of Warsaw, Poland. He has lived in Buenos Aires since 1995.
The Georgian-Argentine artist Gaios creates a very interesting post-production work using paper as raw material in the form of books, letters or documents. The universe of Literature is the substrate of his artistic work. He rewrites the pages like a medieval scribe using graphics, signs, symbols and ideograms from the universe of visual arts.
The convergence of these two worlds is the leitmotiv of his works. Both universes are syncretized by means of psychic automatism, the artist's drives and impulses, which allow us to visualize the central core of his works: chaos.
We present part of his works forming imaginary Fibonacci series whose numerical sequences were used by Da Vinci, Velázquez and many others. This golden ratio attempts to create new dream books that guide us, without intending to, towards the Borgesian labyrinth, from which we will not be able to escape, because it is infinite and will be our essential prison.
