Dream is built on a decision: two tones only — sky blue and white. Nothing else is needed.

White horses move across an open field of blue. Their forms soften at the edges, appearing and dissolving in the same motion — present, but not fixed. They do not arrive. They do not depart. They simply are.

There is no narrative here, no before or after. Only the quality of a particular light, and the particular way these forms move through it.

Reduction is not absence. At this scale — 180 × 160 cm — what has been removed makes room for something harder to name: a quality of air, of openness, of time that does not press.

This painting does not hang on a wall. At this scale, it opens one.

The painting is shipped rolled in a professional protective tube — the safest method for large-scale works. It arrives in perfect condition and can be easily re-stretched at any local framing studio.

If you prefer it on its original stretcher bars, shipping in a custom wooden crate can be arranged at an additional cost. Please contact me before purchase to discuss this option.

Il n'y a pas de narration ici, pas d'avant ni d'après. Seulement la qualité d'une certaine lumière, et la manière particulière dont ces formes se déplacent en elle.

La réduction n'est pas une absence. À cette échelle — 180 × 160 cm — ce qui a été retiré fait place à quelque chose de plus difficile à nommer : une qualité d'air, d'ouverture, d'un temps qui ne presse pas.

Jevgenia Vassiljeva is a contemporary painter based in Tallinn, Estonia, working in large-scale acrylic and mixed media.

Her work exists at the intersection of figurative painting and psychological storytelling, where animals carry what often remains unspoken — instinct, tension, and the moment before a decision.

A bull under pressure, a hare in motion, horses moving as one or pulling apart — these figures act as mirrors of inner states rather than subjects. Each painting captures a point of tension, where instinct precedes conscious thought.

Influenced by primitive and cave art, her visual language is raw, direct, and reduced to essential forms — allowing emotion to emerge without distraction.

Scale is central to her practice. Her largest works reach 200 × 160 cm — a size that is felt before it is fully understood.

Her artworks are held in private collections across Europe and internationally, including Turkey and Australia.
