Description
Looking at the central figure, one can easily recognize the portrait of a self-assured man seated upon the throne of his own ego. Within the empire he has created, he is the absolute ruler.
At the Emperor's feet lies the severed head of a man.
Perhaps it is his own conscience.
Those driven by ego have little use for people who expose the consequences of their actions. They prefer silent followers who obey without question.
Beneath the Emperor's cloak is a child with hands folded in prayer.
Hands symbolize action, and here they are outlined in black.
Perhaps this child represents one of the Emperor's hidden selves.
Perhaps it is his soul.
What, then, tells us that this is the Last Emperor?
