Description
Abstraction imposes itself here with an organic fluidity. The gesture is free. The material extends over the canvas in light and superimposed layers. A circular movement guides the eye towards the center of the composition. Shades of pale green and cream white dominate the space.
The contrast arises from touches of purple and carmine. These sinuous lines evoke a vegetal form or a magnetic breath. Oil paint brings a subtle depth. The rendering is airy. The composition plays on the transparency and superposition of tones.
The background seems to breathe under the effect of pastel shades. Light passes through the material. Some dark strokes come to punctuate the whole to stabilize the visual balance. This canvas testifies to a search for spontaneity and the delicacy of the line. The execution relies on a precise balance between empty and full. The whole unfolds in a soft chromatic harmony.
Presentation
Of Italian origin, Lucia Diris devoted herself from a young age to painting, drawing and graphic art, studying the basics of which she studied in Urbino, at the prestigious Higher Institute of Decorative Arts (ISIA), in Italy.
After her studies, she went to France where she pursued a multifaceted career combining painting, graphic design, cinema, video, photography, ceramics….
Over the years, thanks to the knowledge gained from all these practices, his pictorial work will evolve from figuration towards an increasingly free and refined abstraction.
