What do these masterpieces: Guernica (Picasso) and the Coronation of Napoleon (David) have in common? You probably have contemplated them, stunned, the first time you have seen them and will remember them for a long time. With 27m2 for Picasso and more than 50m2 for David, they are what you call large-format painting. Try hanging them up in your living room! Artsper has selected 10 artworks to show you contemporary painting has not forgotten the lesson taught by its masters.
