Semi-Abstract Painting for Sale
Between figurative art and abstraction, many artists move away from the more common forms of artistic expression to lure us to the realm of incertitude.
Often seemingly abstract at first, the details of semi-abstract artworks are not always apparent at first glance, makes us discover a perception of the world that invites us to escape.
Usually through the use of a very colourful palette and abstract pictorial techniques (the palette knife for instance) the overlapping of colours and shapes present us with different atmospheres, lights and shadow that push us to discern the subject of the work: a character, an object, an animal, a landscape...
From Georges Cabot's regattas to Richard Dubure's urban landscapes, the blurry and non-distinct lines pleasantly drive us to observe, think, travel... While renewing themselves in a certain continuity and very definite modernity.
