Description
This work features a raised disc, resembling a manhole cover, meticulously adorned with a metal grid texture.
The latter evokes an industrial robustness, enhanced by the bold use of color. A bright pink liquid, seemingly fluid and almost organic, ostentatiously overflows from the disc, creating a fascinating contrast between the rigid metallic and the vibrancy of the pink. This juxtaposition immediately captures the eye, inviting reflection on the duality between industrial materials and artistic expressiveness. The artist demonstrates an impeccable mastery of texture and a chromatic sensitivity, harmoniously integrating the laws of gravity into the visual aesthetic.
The originality of the work lies in this singular alchemy between abstraction and meaning, giving the whole an intriguing contemporary sophistication.
Presentation
Santicri was born in 1992 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Trained as a surveyor and then as an architect, he developed a sensitivity for forms, structures and materials at an early age. This technical rigor, combined with a boundless imagination, naturally led him to sculpture.
Driven by a profound creative freedom, Santicri explores matter, movement, and texture. His works reflect a constant dialogue between construction and emotion, precision and spontaneity. Each piece is born from a poetic impulse, an intuition that the artist shapes to achieve the perfect balance between form and sensation.
Through his work, Santicri invites us into a colorful and sensitive universe, where modernism meets the sweetness of dreams. He seeks to convey what his eyes perceive beyond the visible: a subtle harmony between poetry and structure, between gesture and thought.
