Description
This work features a circular chrome object, reminiscent of gleaming wire mesh, mounted on a white wall. A viscous black resin appears to pour from its surface, creating a striking contrast between the smooth and fluid textures. This dramatic juxtaposition blurs the lines between the static and the dynamic, prompting the viewer to consider the interplay between the artificial and the organic. The metallic surface subtly reflects light, adding an intriguing visual dimension. The flow of the black resin suggests inexorable movement, perhaps symbolizing crumbling or transformation.
The work stands out for its ability to merge industrial elements with a bold contemporary aesthetic, offering a reflection on materiality and time.
Presentation
Santicri was born in 1992 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Trained as a surveyor and then as an architect, he developed a sensitivity for forms, structures and materials at an early age. This technical rigor, combined with a boundless imagination, naturally led him to sculpture.
Driven by a profound creative freedom, Santicri explores matter, movement, and texture. His works reflect a constant dialogue between construction and emotion, precision and spontaneity. Each piece is born from a poetic impulse, an intuition that the artist shapes to achieve the perfect balance between form and sensation.
Through his work, Santicri invites us into a colorful and sensitive universe, where modernism meets the sweetness of dreams. He seeks to convey what his eyes perceive beyond the visible: a subtle harmony between poetry and structure, between gesture and thought.
