There is freedom within us, 2024

Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

This vibrant artwork called ' There is freedom within us " showcases a bold and abstract representation of the human form, employing a striking palette of vivid colors and dynamic brushwork. This piece makes part of the paintings dedicated to "Women" series where the artist explores the woman's world and the woman's identity.  In this series Natalya tries to search  for the answers to understand better who is the woman living in the 21st century.

The artist employs thick, expressive strokes to craft the outline of a torso, imbuing the figure with an energetic and raw quality. Predominantly featuring hues of green, red, and yellow, the painting breathes life into the canvas, with each color seeming to pulse with its own energy.

The torso is accentuated with sharp contrasts; the green serves as a foundation, radiating vitality and grounding the composition. Swathes of red and yellow introduce warmth and vibrancy, drawing the eye to key areas and suggesting movement and emotion within the form.

The bold, dark outlines that contour the figure add a pronounced sense of definition, while simultaneously lending to the ambiguity of the shape, inviting viewers to interpret the figure's posture and expression.

This use of shadow and boundary not only highlights the figure's structure but also engages the viewer's imagination, offering multiple interpretations of the form.

Set against a mottled, neutral background, the figure appears to emerge from the surface, commanding attention and inspiring contemplation.

The artist's name subtly sits on the lower corner, completing the composition with a personal touch. This artwork stands as a testament to the power of color and abstraction in conveying the complexity of the human experience.

The painting is done with watercolor paints on a heavyweight professional paper. It was vanished to be protected from dust and fading.
