Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

Contemporary abstract expressionist floral painting "Memories in Roses" by French artist Natalya Mougenot is a vibrant addition to her Floral series. In this piece, Natalya depicts a bouquet of red roses, which hold sweet and pleasant memories for her.

Through this artwork, she hopes to convey these personal emotions and invite viewers to share in the warmth and joy she feels. The roses are rendered with energetic, expressive brushstrokes that convey both movement and spontaneity, set in a loosely defined yellow vase that exudes a sense of abundance and vitality.

Natalya's rich palette contrasts deep reds with bursts of yellow and hints of dark foliage, creating a striking visual harmony. The soothing green background serves to accentuate the vividness of the floral arrangement, intensifying the piece's joyful atmosphere. The impasto technique, with its textured, layered surface, invites viewers to engage with the artwork on a tactile level.

Mougenot's abstract expressionist approach is rooted in freedom and spontaneity, working without a fixed plan. Completing a piece in one sitting is essential to her process, allowing her to imbue the artwork with immediate emotion and energy—something she believes cannot be replicated once finished.

Painted with acrylics on a cotton stretched canvas, "Memories in Roses" comes ready to hang upon delivery. The piece is varnished to protect against dust and fading, ensuring the vibrancy of its colors over time.

Photographs of the artwork in interior settings are included for inspiration, showcasing how it can elevate both traditional and modern spaces.
