Original Contemporary Floral Still Life Painting
Acrylic Paint and Acrylic Pens on Heavyweight Professional Acid-Free French Paper, Varnished for Protection
By French Artist Natalya Mougenot
"Golden Table" is an original contemporary floral still life painting by French artist Natalya Mougenot, featuring a radiant bouquet of yellow summer flowers and a bowl of golden apples rendered in expressive acrylic paint and acrylic pen on professional French paper.
Part of the artist's ongoing series dedicated to floral still life compositions, this vibrant work celebrates abundance, light, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.
Created with acrylic paint and acrylic pens on heavyweight professional acid-free French paper and finished with a protective varnish, the painting radiates vitality through luminous color, expressive brushwork, and intuitive mark-making.
A generous bouquet of golden-yellow summer flowers bursts from a translucent blue vase, filling the composition with warmth and movement. Beside them, there is a a bowl brimming with small golden apples. Together, the flowers and fruit create a joyful visual dialogue that celebrates nature's generosity and the simple pleasures of daily life.
Rooted in her intuitive artistic practice, Mougenot approaches each painting as a journey of discovery. Rather than following a predetermined plan, she allows emotion, color, and instinct to guide the creative process.
For Natalya Mougenot, flowers are far more than decorative subjects. They embody vitality, resilience, and the fleeting beauty of life itself. As the artist explains:
"I love painting flowers because they remind us to pause and notice beauty. They ask for nothing, yet they transform a space, a moment, even a mood. Through flowers, I can express joy, gratitude, and the simple wonder of being alive."
She also reflects:
"Flowers are never static to me. They carry movement, emotion, and memory. When I paint them, I am not trying to reproduce what I see; I am trying to capture the feeling they awaken within me."
In "Golden Table", the traditional still life is transformed into a contemporary and expressive meditation on joy, gratitude, and presence. The luminous yellow flowers evoke the warmth of summer sunlight, while the bowl of apples recalls the richness of seasonal harvests and shared moments gathered around a table. Through vibrant color relationships and rhythmic composition, the artist invites viewers to reconnect with the beauty that exists in ordinary, often overlooked experiences.
Natalya Mougenot's floral still lifes are not merely representations of flowers and objects; they are emotional landscapes. Through them, she explores memory, sensation, vitality, and the restorative power of beauty. The bouquet becomes a symbol of flourishing life, while the fruit evokes nourishment, abundance, and connection.
"Golden Table" will appeal to collectors who are drawn to expressive floral paintings, contemporary still life art, colorful impressionistic works, and pieces filled with optimism and emotional resonance.
Art lovers who appreciate intuitive painting, gestural mark-making, and joyful palettes will be captivated by the painting's vibrant energy and celebratory spirit. The work speaks to those who seek art that uplifts, inspires, and brings warmth into their daily environment.
With its radiant palette of golden yellows, turquoise blues, emerald greens, and warm orange accents, "Golden Table" is ideally suited to contemporary, eclectic, Mediterranean, coastal, modern farmhouse, and bohemian interiors. It would make a striking focal point in a dining room, kitchen, living room, sunroom, or welcoming entrance hall, bringing light, warmth, and vitality to the space.
Equally at home in a sophisticated collector's interior or a relaxed contemporary setting, the painting offers a timeless celebration of nature, abundance, and joyful living.
Rich in color, movement, and emotional resonance, "Golden Table" embodies Natalya Mougenot's ongoing exploration of beauty, vitality, and the transformative power of everyday wonder.

Natalya is a contemporary french artist living in Lyon.
She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes.
She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country.
She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now.
In her artistic practice she refers to the terms of metamodernism, which proposes to look at the world from the position of the inner adult.
As an artist and as a woman she translates the experience of her personal search for balance based on harmony between mind, soul and body. This balance, in her opinion, is the pillar for the inner adult.
Important components of her work are authenticity, soulfulness, sincerity, emotionality and honesty. She immerses the objects and the characters in the world where there is no falsity, rudeness, loneliness and indifference.
She works rapidly and is constantly sensitive to the details.
Her artistic process is a fine balance between a pre-meditation and spontantainty which helps her to create her expressive atmospheric artworks with a modern touch of impressionism by cultivating a naive art approach.
