Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

Titled "Summer Morning with Roses and Lemons", this vibrant and dynamic still life painting by French artist Natalya Mougenot forms part of her exploration into the beauty of life's simple pleasures. Drawing from the dopamine art trend, which celebrates the use of bright, uplifting colors, Mougenot's work breathes life into everyday subjects through her bold use of hues. Her distinctive approach is also influenced by the work of Henri Matisse, particularly in its commitment to simple yet authentic forms.

Mougenot's practice is rooted in authenticity, with the artist capturing objects and scenes exactly as she sees them, without relying on a preconceived plan. Her process is entirely spontaneous, offering her the freedom to express her ideas and visions in the moment, creating a raw and honest narrative in each piece.

The painting centers around a striking blue vase filled with vibrant red roses, their vivid color commanding attention against the backdrop of rich greens. The cool blue of the vase adds balance, while bright yellow lemons scattered across the table further energize the composition. Loose, expressive brushwork infuses the piece with movement, texture, and vitality. The warm ochre background frames the scene softly, allowing the bold contrasts and vivid colors to take center stage.

This acrylic painting is executed on heavyweight, professional acid-free paper, and has been varnished for protection against dust and fading.
