Description
This painting depicts a winter cityscape dominated by the silhouette of a domed building, perhaps a cathedral or a palace. The painting is executed in light, pastel tones, with white, gray, pinkish and blue shades predominating, which creates the effect of a frosty, snowy morning.
In the front part of the composition are buildings with snow-covered roofs and trees with dense, snowy crowns, painted in thick strokes. The central place is occupied by a majestic building with a large dome and towers, adorned with architectural details partly hidden under the snow.
The artist uses a technique of dimensional strokes, creating the textured effect of snow, ice and winter air. In the lower corner of the painting a signature can be seen, probably indicating the author and the date the work was created. Overall, the work conveys a sense of winter quiet and of the harmony between urban architecture and nature.
