Floating petals, 2026

Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

"Floating Petals" is an original contemporary floral painting by French artist Natalya Mougenot, painted in acrylic on heavyweight professional acid-free paper in A2 format, 59.4 x 42 cm (23.4 x 16.5 in). Part of her Monet-inspired series, the work transforms the quiet beauty of water lilies and floating blossoms into a vibrant, expressive composition full of light and movement.

With its luminous pink flowers, cool blue layers, and flowing green forms, the painting captures the poetry of water and nature in a fresh, modern way. Rather than describing the scene literally, Natalya focuses on feeling, rhythm, and atmosphere, allowing color and brushwork to create a sense of life and energy.

The composition feels both delicate and dynamic. The petals seem to hover across the surface, while the layered background gives depth and softness, like reflections on water. The use of bright pinks, turquoise blues, and touches of green creates a joyful contrast that makes the whole piece feel alive.

This painting reflects Natalya Mougenot's intuitive and personal approach to art. Her work is guided by authenticity, freedom, and sensitivity, and “Floating Petals" carries that spirit through every gesture and layer. It speaks to art lovers who appreciate original floral painting with a contemporary edge, rooted in the legacy of Impressionism yet fully modern in expression.

It is a piece that can bring freshness, color, and poetic energy into an interior. It would fit beautifully in a living room, bedroom, reading corner, creative studio, or any modern space that needs a statement work with both elegance and personality. Framed simply, it can feel refined and gallery-like; framed in wood, it can bring warmth and softness; with a black or white frame, it can look clean, contemporary, and timeless.
