About the artwork

Artwork sold in perfect condition

Silver photograph of Serge Gainsbourg, with a nude model. Passionate about photography since his adolescence, Jacques Benaroch started his career as a professional photographer in the mid-70s on the mythical concerts of the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, or Bob Marley. At the same time, he collaborated with the magazines "Salut les copains" and "Podium", where he photographed the French singers of the yéyé years. In 1980, he joined the Sipa Press agency and organized photo sessions with the greatest international artists. He continued his quest for images on the famous plateau of the Buttes Chaumont in Paris, where he took the famous photo of the "Jackson Five" with their father. In May 2003, Jacques Benaroch was named "Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite" by Noêlle Lenoir, Minister of European Affairs, in recognition of his career.
