This striking sculpture stands out for its complexity and artistic audacity. Made from a metallic material, steel, the work presents an open and organic structure that seems both fragile and robust. The irregular shapes and voids created throughout the sculpture evoke the idea of the decomposition or materialization of raw energy. The contrast between the darker parts and the subtle reddish hues introduces a visual dynamic that attracts and holds the attention. The black patina, punctuated by rusty nuances, suggests a presence of time past, as if the work had been prey to the elements and preserved the traces of a mysterious history. Positioned on a sober circular base, the sculpture gains stability without weighing down its overall appearance. The way in which it rises and extends in space invites the viewer to contemplate it from different angles, thus revealing various aspects and interpretations of the work. The originality of this piece lies in the tension between its abstract appearance and its subtle references to organic, almost anatomical forms. It embodies a successful fusion between the cold hardness of metal and the fluidity of nature, between abstraction and figuration. It is a work that not only attracts contemporary art lovers but also challenges with its deep enigmatic character and raw beauty.

Philippe Buil, born in Marseille in 1964, moved to Saint-Étienne at the age of five. Introduced to art at an early age by his parents, he developed a passion for sculpture, which he combined with his experience in the metal industry. This unique blend of skills enables him to create metal works of remarkable lightness and delicacy, akin to lace.
Buil began by working in steel, before turning to bronze, which he masters in his own workshop. He also incorporates other materials such as aluminum, leather and precious woods, enriching his creations. His distinctive style, combining the hardness of metals with Greco-Roman forms, gives rise to what he calls "metallic haute-couture".
Since his first exhibitions in 2012, Philippe Buil has rapidly gained recognition, exhibiting his work in Belgium, Switzerland, Canada and the United States. In 2015, he introduced 24-carat gold leaf to his bronze sculptures, giving them a unique and prestigious sheen. Each of his pieces is unique, captivating collectors and art lovers the world over.
Philippe Buil continues to innovate and explore new techniques, always faithful to his commitment to do everything himself, from design to manufacture. His inexhaustible creativity and unique technical approach have made him a key artist on the contemporary scene, with a marked presence in galleries and international exhibitions.
