Description
This wall sculpture reinterprets an industrial faucet into a contemporary work where design meets symbolism. Fixed to the wall, the white faucet, topped with a vibrant red handle, lets a majestic golden drop escape, finished in mirror, frozen in a suspended moment.
The highly reflective surface of the drop captures the light and its surroundings, reinforcing the illusion of a liquid metal in perpetual motion. The contrast between the immaculate white of the faucet, the vivid red of the valve, and the luxurious gleam of gold creates a strong, elegant, and resolutely contemporary graphic composition.
By diverting a utilitarian everyday object, the artist invites reflection on the value of resources, wealth, the passing of time, or the transformation of the ordinary into a precious object. This golden drop becomes a universal symbol of abundance, rarity, and desire, while leaving ample room for personal interpretation.
At the crossroads of pop art, industrial design, and contemporary art, this work captivates with its formal simplicity and the power of its visual impact. A bold sculptural piece, ideal for adding a touch of character, light, and modernity to an interior or a collection of contemporary art.
Presentation
Santicri was born in 1992 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Trained as a surveyor and then as an architect, he developed a sensitivity for forms, structures and materials at an early age. This technical rigor, combined with a boundless imagination, naturally led him to sculpture.
Driven by a profound creative freedom, Santicri explores matter, movement, and texture. His works reflect a constant dialogue between construction and emotion, precision and spontaneity. Each piece is born from a poetic impulse, an intuition that the artist shapes to achieve the perfect balance between form and sensation.
Through his work, Santicri invites us into a colorful and sensitive universe, where modernism meets the sweetness of dreams. He seeks to convey what his eyes perceive beyond the visible: a subtle harmony between poetry and structure, between gesture and thought.
