Description
This wall sculpture repurposes an industrial faucet into a contemporary work of art that is both playful and refined. Fixed to the wall, the white faucet is enhanced with a vibrant red handle, while a spectacular metallic pink drop appears to flow from its spout, suspended in a frozen moment.
The mirror finish of the drop captures the light and reveals multiple reflections, creating an impression of movement despite the sculpture's immobility. The contrast between the clean white of the faucet, the intense red of the valve, and the vibrant pink brings a pop, elegant, and resolutely contemporary aesthetic.
Inspired by industrial design, this creation transforms a functional object into a powerful symbol. The suspended drop can evoke the rarity of a resource, the value of time, an emotion flowing, or simply the beauty of a stopped moment. Its interpretation remains deliberately open, inviting each viewer to project their own reading onto it.
Graphic and minimalist, this work immediately attracts the eye. It fits just as well in a contemporary interior as in a professional space or an urban art collection, where it brings a touch of originality, color, and poetry.
Presentation
Santicri was born in 1992 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Trained as a surveyor and then as an architect, he developed a sensitivity for forms, structures and materials at an early age. This technical rigor, combined with a boundless imagination, naturally led him to sculpture.
Driven by a profound creative freedom, Santicri explores matter, movement, and texture. His works reflect a constant dialogue between construction and emotion, precision and spontaneity. Each piece is born from a poetic impulse, an intuition that the artist shapes to achieve the perfect balance between form and sensation.
Through his work, Santicri invites us into a colorful and sensitive universe, where modernism meets the sweetness of dreams. He seeks to convey what his eyes perceive beyond the visible: a subtle harmony between poetry and structure, between gesture and thought.
