Description
This wall sculpture revisits an industrial faucet as a contemporary work of art where design meets poetry. From a white faucet, topped with an emblematic red handle, a long, copper drop with a mirror finish flows, suspended in a frozen instant. Its slender silhouette and metallic reflections give the illusion of molten metal stopped in mid-movement.
The contrast between the clean white of the faucet, the intense red of the valve, and the warm tones of the copper creates a strong and elegant graphic composition. The highly reflective surface of the drop captures the light and its surroundings, giving the work a living aspect that evolves according to the viewpoint.
At the crossroads of pop art, industrial design, and contemporary art, this creation diverts a utilitarian object to make it a symbol of transformation. The copper drop can evoke energy, heat, molten material, or even the hidden value of resources, while leaving the viewer the freedom of their own interpretation.
Streamlined, bold, and timeless, this sculpture immediately attracts the eye. A true piece of character, it fits as well in a contemporary interior as in a professional space or an art collection, where it brings a touch of modernity, refinement, and originality.
Presentation
Santicri was born in 1992 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy. Trained as a surveyor and then as an architect, he developed a sensitivity for forms, structures and materials at an early age. This technical rigor, combined with a boundless imagination, naturally led him to sculpture.
Driven by a profound creative freedom, Santicri explores matter, movement, and texture. His works reflect a constant dialogue between construction and emotion, precision and spontaneity. Each piece is born from a poetic impulse, an intuition that the artist shapes to achieve the perfect balance between form and sensation.
Through his work, Santicri invites us into a colorful and sensitive universe, where modernism meets the sweetness of dreams. He seeks to convey what his eyes perceive beyond the visible: a subtle harmony between poetry and structure, between gesture and thought.
