Description
Ruslan Kolomiyets’ Moon Race captures the elegance of a yacht silhouetted against a radiant sunset. The horizon glows in saturated orange and yellow tones, while the darkening sea reflects subtle traces of blue and red. The boat’s sails, painted with controlled precision, rise into the fading light, suggesting both calm navigation and the quiet energy of a regatta.
The artist’s command of watercolor is evident in his layering of transparent washes, which allow the sky to breathe with depth and vibrancy. The sunset becomes not just a backdrop, but a central theme of the composition, amplifying the harmony between vessel, crew, and horizon.
This painting will resonate with collectors drawn to seascapes, nautical art, and sunset scenes. It demonstrates Kolomiyets’ ability to unite atmosphere with technical clarity, making Moon Race a distinctive and collectible work in his oeuvre.
