Description
In Silence No. 14, Ruslan Kolomiyets creates a landscape defined by simplicity, balance and atmosphere. The composition revolves around only a few carefully chosen elements – a solitary chair, a tranquil swimming pool and a tree bending gently in the wind – allowing silence itself to become the central subject.
Painted in oil on a 100x100 cm canvas, the work is distinguished by its luminous colour palette and expressive texture. Soft turquoise water, pale pink architecture and rich green foliage create a harmonious rhythm, while broad areas of open sky reinforce the sense of space and calm.
Without referring to any particular place, the painting captures the timeless pleasure of stepping away from everyday life. The empty chair becomes an invitation rather than a symbol, encouraging each viewer to imagine themselves within the scene and experience its quiet, restorative atmosphere.
