Description
Part of Ruslan Kolomiyets' Silence series, Silence No.11 presents a view of stillness by the sea. The scene is stripped to essentials: a solitary striped chair, a stone terrace, and the vast horizon of water and sky. Painted in oil, the work blends subtle impasto with luminous blues that capture the shifting play of light on the water's surface.
The absence of human presence intensifies the psychological atmosphere. The chair, facing the sea, invites the viewer to take its place, to imagine the silence and the contemplative solitude of the moment. Influenced by David Hockney's imagery of leisure and poolsides, Kolomiyets reinterprets the motif with a deeper sense of reflection – less about luxury, more about pause, memory, and space.
Silence No.11 is both minimalist and expressive, decorative yet philosophical. For collectors, it offers a painting that can enrich an interior with serenity and color, while also serving as a reminder of the fragile beauty of calm moments.
