Dreams by the lilies, 2025

Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

“Dreams by the Lilies" by French artist Natalya Mougenot is a poetic and contemporary interpretation of water lilies, painted in the spirit of Claude Monet yet guided by the artist's own emotional language. In this work, Mougenot transforms the tranquil pond into a world of pure feeling — a place where color, reflection, and light merge in harmony.

Executed in acrylic on heavyweight professional acid-free paper, the painting shimmers with layers of blues, greens, violets, and tender pinks, capturing both the calm and vitality of water. Each brushstroke moves freely, evoking ripples of emotion rather than the surface of a pond.

As the artist explains: “When I paint flowers or water, I don't reproduce what I see — I paint what I feel." Through expressive color and movement, she conveys serenity, introspection, and the quiet poetry of nature.

In “Dreams by the Lilies", color becomes a meditation — a dialogue between depth and light, calm and passion. “Painting is dreaming with open eyes," says Mougenot. “The canvas is the place where silence becomes light."

Natalya shares : “This piece is part of my ongoing nature series, where I explore not only beauty of nature but also resilience and truth through color and movement."
