Cuerpos Magnéticos was born searching for the relationship between nature and our bodies: we see rocks, bones, structures, flexibility, attractions, spaces, movement, stillness. Cuerpos Magnéticos is a dynamic work where each piece reflects individuality and, at the same time, the relationship with the others. It adapts, as in life, to the situation or the surface where it lives.
The artist's work is deeply influenced by nature. She draws textures, images, and colors from it, expanding them in her work. Her creative process begins with observation, experience, and recording, then transforms these elements into pieces with a new materiality. Her interest lies in bringing together and sharing remote and beautiful places, exploring the landscapes, patterns, and bodies she encounters along the way. Through her work, the artist investigates the perfectly imperfect geometries that are repeated both in nature and in the human body, where lived experiences are recorded, just like the sediments that narrate the history of our planet. Her hands record personal stories, and her work seeks to make visible the connections and differences in our structures, allowing us to imagine landscapes that hypnotize, communicate, and alert. Contact with remote and inaccessible contexts gives her the opportunity to invent and develop new ways of inhabiting everyday spaces through her work. Traveling is an essential part of her research: a process in which the studio becomes a laboratory, where the external is internalized and the internal is projected outward, always generating new paths. She uses molds, modules, and individual pieces in various materials that, when combined, create ever-expanding forms, taking fragmentation as a starting point for continuous evolution.

This dynamic artwork features a striking black metal sculpture that appears to defy gravity. Mounted on a pristine white wall, it exudes a sense of mystery and balance. The metal, folded and contorted into an abstract form, creates sharp angles and soft curves, establishing a captivating play of light and shadow. The piece's organic, yet industrial aesthetic evokes a sense of transformation and resilience. Its monochromatic palette emphasizes the material's raw texture, while the intricate folds invite viewers to explore its depths. This sculpture, with its bold presence and nuanced complexity, stands as a testament to the power of minimalist design in evoking profound emotional responses. Its unique form challenges traditional notions of sculpture, making it both a visual anchor in its space and a catalyst for contemplation.

After graduating from university in Argentina, with a background in economics, Carla Gimbatti began working with disadvantaged women and children, many of whom lived on the streets. While volunteering on a project that used art therapy, she was inspired by the power of art to help express, achieve, and heal.
He attended photography, painting and sculpture workshops in Buenos Aires that allowed him to start a new path. After moving to New York, Gimbatti studied at the Art Students League of New York. He then participated in a Painting Certificate Program at the New York Studio School from 2016-2017.
