Description
An abstract composition where the gaze wanders into a diffuse horizon. The brush traces horizontal lines. Shades of green dominate the canvas. They evoke natural expanses, between land and water.
The acrylic is applied with nuance. Touches of ochre and brown punctuate the foreground. These earthy accents create a subtle contrast with the clarity of the sky. The light seems to filter through a light mist.
The space fragments into successive strata. The treatment of the material brings tactile depth. Calm settles in this chromatic balance. The whole exudes a contemplative serenity.
This canvas dates from 1985. It testifies to a research into the simplification of forms. The support is a stretched canvas. The artist's signature appears discreetly in the bottom right.
