Description
This abstract composition unfolds on a dark and deep background. The gaze circulates between several rectangles arranged irregularly.
Each shape is structured by a play of fine and repetitive lines. These hatchings create a precise visual rhythm, almost mathematical. The contrast between the darkness of the support and the clarity of the lines brings an architectural dimension to the whole.
The artist uses acrylic on paper here to explore geometric rigor. The surfaces seem to vibrate under the effect of the linear repetition. The airy arrangement of the blocks suggests a suspended balance, a kind of silent score.
The work on the material emphasizes a search for sobriety and precision. The composition plays with the voids and the solids to establish a contemplative atmosphere.
The work is dated 195 and signed in the bottom right.
