Description
This abstract composition plays on a marked chromatic contrast. The painting is divided into two distinct areas. At the top, ocher and earthy tones dominate. Straight white lines come to structure this ensemble, evoking fragments or superimposed frames.
The lower part shifts towards shades of deep blue and green. These hues recall marine depths or an aquatic landscape. The technical execution testifies to a great material richness. The artist used acrylic, chalk, and India ink.
The support also incorporates paper, bringing variations in texture and relief. The visual rendering oscillates between transparency and opacity. The layers overlap to create atmospheric depth. A horizontal white line clearly separates the two color registers. The whole offers a reflection on geometry and material. This work was created in 194.
