Description
Within the thematic structure of the opening act——the portrait "Natsuko", alongside "Yoshiko", exemplifies the stage of "Entrapment (The Resin)". Here, classical serenity yields completely to a deliberate friction between refined figurative painting and aggressive mass visual media, permanently fixed beneath a stratum of industrial polymer.

The artist's original haiku serves as the poetic axis of the piece, exploring the tension between luminosity, flight, and preservation in amber:
Composition, Artistry, and Details
The Tondo Medallion and Pictorial Form: Centered on the composition is a circular bordered by a fine crimson scalloped edge, set against an intense turquoise background. Natsuko is depicted with classical hair styling—twin high buns decorated with floral ornaments and drops—wearing a warm golden-ochre kimono adorned with floral patterns. Her facial features are rendered with meticulous restraint: luminous porcelain skin, flushed pink cheeks, cherry lips, and a steady gaze charged with delicate vulnerability.
The Collage Ground (Explicit Manga Substrate): The panel underlying the tondo is composed of printed hentai manga pages showing explicit sexual imagery, dialogue balloons, and Japanese sound effects. Directly above her portrait, the name "NATSUKO" is stamped in bold red capital letters, functioning akin to a commodity label or specimen mark.
Dragonflies, Butterflies, and Epoxy Encapsulation: Layered onto the collage ground are translucent pink dragonflies and butterflies, directly echoing the "amber wings" from the haiku. The entire visual assemblage is hermetically encased under a substantial layer of crystal-clear epoxy resin.

Across Eugenio Montoro Aybar's conceptual design, "Natsuko" brings the tension between refined aestheticization and bodily commodification to the forefront:
The Metaphor of Amber Entombment: Much like ancient insects suspended within fossilized resin ("alas de ámbar"), the winged creatures and the central protagonist inhabit an illusory state of flight: their motion is halted by the glass-like epoxy surface. The resin immortalizes her radiance ("cristal de luz") while locking her in stasis, rendering her a perpetual captive of her own pristine form.
Deconstructing the Façade: The comic panels expose the hidden undercurrents of the entertainment medium: hypersexualization, voyeurism, and systemic commodification masked behind commercial allure. It serves as the final threshold before the explicit urban violence revealed in Act II within the backstreets of Hanazono.
Presentation
Eugenio Montoro Aybar (born 1974 in Granada, Spain, where he currently resides and works) is a distinguished visual artist, researcher, and educator holding a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Granada, specializing in pictorial techniques and artistic procedures. Throughout his established career, he has combined rigorous academic research and fine art painting with the direction of monumental mural projects and heritage conservation initiatives on both national and international stages.
Among his prominent monumental achievements is the direction and coordination of the mural and decorative paintings for the full-scale replica of the Alhambra of Granada at the Al-Yamamah Royal Palace in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), commissioned by King Fahd bin Abdulaziz. In Spain, he has led prestigious ecclesiastical restorations, including the monumental high altars of the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel and the Basilica of Saint Andrew in Granada, as well as the mural decorations of the Basilica of Lillo in Toledo.
