Art Gallery Nika
Mission, Vision, and Values
Mission
The Nika Art Gallery is born in 2023 with the mission of bringing contemporary art closer to all kinds of audiences, creating a meeting space between artists, collectors, decorators, art lovers, and the curious. We promote a close and direct relationship with the works and their creators, boosting emerging talent alongside established careers, and we bet on an artistic experience that is accessible, meaningful, and transformative.
Vision
We aspire to establish ourselves as a cultural reference on the Costa del Sol: a dynamic gallery that not only exhibits art but lives it and shares it. We want to continue growing as a multidisciplinary space, open to dialogue between disciplines, generations, and sensibilities, acting as a driver of creation, education, and aesthetic enjoyment for our local and international community.
Values
• Creative integrity: We believe art should not be subordinated to the market. We move away from excessive commercialization and defend an authentic creative expression, with no concessions or strategies solely aimed at selling.
• Commitment to contemporary art: We support current creation with respect, listening, and the desire to add value to each artist’s trajectory.
• We defend genuine creativity and freedom of expression as fundamental values. For this reason, we feel especially inspired by neurodivergent artists, whose work often emerges without the intention to please, offering a direct, honest, and powerful connection between the act of creation and the viewer.
• Vitality: We understand art as a living experience, therefore besides exhibitions we organize quick-painting workshops with models, coworking, art history classes, concerts, performances, among other activities.
• Education: We are committed to artistic training from childhood. We have held two international painting competitions for children and youths aged 8 to 18, and we offer spaces for continuous learning and expression.
