Description
A spectral presence emerges from a swirling vortex of emerald and teal. The brushwork is energetic. Rhythmic strokes create a sense of fluid motion. A central figure rises with an ethereal, crown-like silhouette. Its form blends seamlessly into a lush, forest-like backdrop. The colors shift from deep oceanic greens to luminous yellows.
At the heart of the composition, a glowing orb radiates warmth. This focal point pulses with oranges and soft whites. It rests within dark, protective curves that suggest a cradling gesture. The contrast between the cool background and the fiery center creates a powerful visual tension.
Created in 2024, this acrylic painting explores the intersection of mythology and nature. The artist utilizes her multidisciplinary background to layer texture and light. The result is an abstract vision that feels both ancient and futuristic. It evokes a feeling of spiritual awakening or ecological guardianship. The composition guides the eye from the expansive greenery down to the intimate, shimmering light of the core.
Presentation
Born in 1986, Nino Bosikashvili is a Georgian multidisciplinary artist now based in Melbourne, Australia. She trained at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art between 2003 and 2009, earning a Bachelor's degree in Restoration of Fine Arts followed by a Master's degree in Multimedia Design — a dual background that continues to inform the technical and conceptual depth of her work. Her practice explores social and political realities, ecological themes, questions of identity, history and mythology, and human development. Since the early 2000s, her work has been shown in more than thirty exhibitions and collected by art lovers in many countries. She was recognised among the world's leading illustrators in the Australian publication Pictoria Volume 2, released by CapsulesBook. Moving between Georgia and Australia, Nino Bosikashvili has built a career spanning numerous solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and international collaborations, across painting, illustration and graphic design.
