Description
A surge of raw energy dominates the canvas. Bold brushstrokes create a sense of explosive movement. The composition radiates from a central dark core. Cool tones of steel blue and crisp white collide with deep blacks. These contrasting hues evoke a celestial storm or a crashing wave.
The texture is tactile and visceral. Thick applications of paint build a three-dimensional relief. Each stroke feels urgent. It captures a moment of transformation. Sharp lines pierce the darkness like shards of ice.
Subtle hints of crimson flicker at the edges. This warmth adds tension to the cold palette. The balance between light and shadow creates a dramatic depth. It draws the viewer into a swirling vortex of emotion. The artwork oscillates between chaos and harmony. Every gesture reveals a precise control of the medium. The final result is a powerful expression of nature's untamed force. The gaze is pulled toward the fluid intersections of light and dark.
Presentation
Born in 1986, Nino Bosikashvili is a Georgian multidisciplinary artist now based in Melbourne, Australia. She trained at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art between 2003 and 2009, earning a Bachelor's degree in Restoration of Fine Arts followed by a Master's degree in Multimedia Design — a dual background that continues to inform the technical and conceptual depth of her work. Her practice explores social and political realities, ecological themes, questions of identity, history and mythology, and human development. Since the early 2000s, her work has been shown in more than thirty exhibitions and collected by art lovers in many countries. She was recognised among the world's leading illustrators in the Australian publication Pictoria Volume 2, released by CapsulesBook. Moving between Georgia and Australia, Nino Bosikashvili has built a career spanning numerous solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and international collaborations, across painting, illustration and graphic design.
