Description
Ethereal figures merge in a haunting dance of transformation. The canvas breathes with a palette of muted rose and deep shadows. Centaur-like beings emerge from a hazy atmosphere. Their forms are fluid. Their movements are ghostly. White acrylic strokes create a sense of shimmering energy. Wisps of smoke or spirit rise from their heads. These swirling lines suggest a ritualistic connection to the unseen. The composition balances organic curves with a heavy, atmospheric depth. Each figure seems caught between two worlds. Human consciousness blends with animal instinct. The brushwork is confident yet soft. It evokes a dreamlike state where mythology meets modern abstraction. This 2024 artwork explores the boundaries of identity and the mystical. It transforms the canvas into a space of spiritual transition. The scene remains suspended in a timeless, reddish void. The light catches the pale curves of the creatures' backs. It highlights the tension between the physical body and the ephemeral soul.
Presentation
Born in 1986, Nino Bosikashvili is a Georgian multidisciplinary artist now based in Melbourne, Australia. She trained at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art between 2003 and 2009, earning a Bachelor's degree in Restoration of Fine Arts followed by a Master's degree in Multimedia Design — a dual background that continues to inform the technical and conceptual depth of her work. Her practice explores social and political realities, ecological themes, questions of identity, history and mythology, and human development. Since the early 2000s, her work has been shown in more than thirty exhibitions and collected by art lovers in many countries. She was recognised among the world's leading illustrators in the Australian publication Pictoria Volume 2, released by CapsulesBook. Moving between Georgia and Australia, Nino Bosikashvili has built a career spanning numerous solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and international collaborations, across painting, illustration and graphic design.
