Description
A vivid exploration of form and color. This 2024 acrylic painting captures a dreamlike atmosphere. The palette vibrates with deep purples and electric blues. Soft pinks emerge from the center. A fluid, reclining figure floats across the upper plane. The silhouette blends into the background. It evokes a sense of weightlessness. The composition shifts between representation and abstraction. Swirls of paint create a rhythmic energy. Below, organic shapes suggest a submerged landscape. Green accents pierce through the violet haze. The artist employs a multidisciplinary approach. She merges technical precision with emotional depth. The artwork explores the intersection of identity and mythology. It feels like a glimpse into a subconscious realm. Every brushstroke adds to the atmospheric tension. The layering of pigment creates a rich tactile quality. This piece reflects a modern vision of spiritual longing. The gaze is drawn toward the ethereal light. It concludes in a flurry of expressive, gestural marks.
Presentation
Born in 1986, Nino Bosikashvili is a Georgian multidisciplinary artist now based in Melbourne, Australia. She trained at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art between 2003 and 2009, earning a Bachelor's degree in Restoration of Fine Arts followed by a Master's degree in Multimedia Design — a dual background that continues to inform the technical and conceptual depth of her work. Her practice explores social and political realities, ecological themes, questions of identity, history and mythology, and human development. Since the early 2000s, her work has been shown in more than thirty exhibitions and collected by art lovers in many countries. She was recognised among the world's leading illustrators in the Australian publication Pictoria Volume 2, released by CapsulesBook. Moving between Georgia and Australia, Nino Bosikashvili has built a career spanning numerous solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and international collaborations, across painting, illustration and graphic design.
