Description
Deep blues collide with electric greens in this evocative acrylic composition. The canvas pulses with energy. Bold, vertical strokes create a sense of claustrophobia and release. A central geometric form emerges from the shadows. It acts as a focal point of light and structure amidst the fluid chaos. This contrast suggests a struggle between order and instability. The artist employs a rich, layered technique to build atmospheric depth. Each brushstroke feels intentional and rhythmic. The palette evokes the mysterious depths of an ocean or a futuristic landscape. It is a visual exploration of liberation and confinement. The painting balances raw emotion with a disciplined sense of design. This tension drives the viewer through the dark, immersive space. The light catches the sharp edges of the central figure. It creates a shimmering effect against the dark background. The composition concludes with a heavy, grounded base of deep blacks and emerald hues.
Presentation
Born in 1986, Nino Bosikashvili is a Georgian multidisciplinary artist now based in Melbourne, Australia. She trained at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art between 2003 and 2009, earning a Bachelor's degree in Restoration of Fine Arts followed by a Master's degree in Multimedia Design — a dual background that continues to inform the technical and conceptual depth of her work. Her practice explores social and political realities, ecological themes, questions of identity, history and mythology, and human development. Since the early 2000s, her work has been shown in more than thirty exhibitions and collected by art lovers in many countries. She was recognised among the world's leading illustrators in the Australian publication Pictoria Volume 2, released by CapsulesBook. Moving between Georgia and Australia, Nino Bosikashvili has built a career spanning numerous solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and international collaborations, across painting, illustration and graphic design.
