Description
This abstract composition plays on the subtlety of nuances and the rigor of lines. The eye is immediately drawn to a wide yellow band, dense and luminous, which structures the left side of the paper.
The rest of the surface opens up to paler, almost ethereal tones. Geometric lines suggest an architectural perspective or a play of shadows.
The chalk on paper technique brings a grainy texture and a velvety rendering. The work of the pigment creates fluid gradients that soften the rigor of the angles.
The balance between saturated areas and light spaces establishes an atmosphere of calm and clarity. Each line seems to measure space with precision.
This work, created in 194, testifies to research on light and geometry. The artist's signature appears discreetly in the bottom right corner.
