Description
The brush fades behind the material. The acrylic paint piles up in dense layers on the paper. The blue tone dominates the composition. Cool shades alternate with white flashes and dark shadows.
The gesture is fast. It scours the canvas. Horizontal lines stripe the surface and create a jerky rhythm. The texture becomes tactile. The relief plays with the light.
The work relies on a marked contrast. The black background emphasizes the depth of the blue. The addition of chalk brings a specific dullness. Abstraction prevails here. It explores movement and repetition.
The whole forms an irregular grid. The material still seems fresh. This composition dates from 198. It testifies to a research into structure and color. It ends with a discreet signature in the bottom right.
