Description
From a deep and monotone blue, this abstract composition plays on the superposition of materials. The artist combines acrylic with paper and cotton to create a subtle relief.
A dark piece of fabric settles in the center of the format. It seems fragile, marked by a vertical tear that crosses the material.
The contrast between the uniform background and the rough texture of the textile attracts the eye. The apparent seam suggests an attempt at repair, an attentive and almost artisanal gesture.
The shades of blue vary between the clarity of the support and the density of the fabric. This chromatic depth reinforces the sensation of volume.
The work on the irregular edges emphasizes the organic nature of the assembly. The signature and the date appear discreetly in the bottom right of the composition.
