Description
This abstract composition plays on a dark and earthy palette. The artist superimposes acrylic and India ink on paper to create a dense depth.
The eye circulates between areas of opaque shadow and ochre highlights. Fine lines delineate fragmented shapes. They structure the space like geological strata or architectural silhouettes.
The material seems burned. The contrast between the deep brown and the orangey tones suggests an internal warmth. The gesture is controlled. The visual rendering evokes a slow combustion or a nocturnal landscape.
Created in 195, this piece testifies to research into the superposition of layers. The balance between saturated blocks and precise lines brings a graphic rigor to the whole. The background allows earthy nuances to show through on the right edge of the support.
