Description
The gaze falls upon a surface of a pale and serene blue. A vertical axis fragments the space with geometric precision. Rectangles of a deep blue stack and shift. This block play creates an ascending rhythm. The composition plays on the tension between the void and the structure.
The artist uses acrylic to obtain sharp and homogeneous flat areas. The chromatic contrast emphasizes a search for balance and clarity. The repetition of forms suggests an ordered movement. This minimalist approach purifies the vision to concentrate on verticality.
The whole conveys an impression of calm and rigor. The canvas, made in 20, explores the relationship between color and geometry. The neutral background highlights the graphic strength of the blue segments. The light seems to emanate from the canvas itself through the subtlety of the chosen shades. Each stroke is placed with exactitude on the canvas.
