Description
An abstract composition where the material imposes itself. Deep red dominates the canvas. This dark and dense shade creates a solemn atmosphere.
The work in acrylics and mixed media brings a rich texture. Thin and precise white lines come to structure the space. They draw geometric contours that contrast with the organic aspect of the background.
The eye circulates between the areas of shadow and the flashes of light. The balance between rigor and intuition guides the visual reading. The gesture is controlled, almost architectural.
This painting from 1996 explores the tension between the full and the empty. The surface seems to vibrate under the effect of the superimposition of layers.
The vertical format accentuates the upward momentum of the composition. The whole ends with a discreet signature in the bottom right.
