Description
A geometric composition of absolute rigor. The eye is immediately caught by a saturated red that occupies most of the space. Three black rectangles overlap on it. They seem to float, held by thin vertical white lines.
These lines suggest a light, almost fragile structure, against the density of the color. The contrast is sharp. The precision of the shapes evokes a mental architecture.
The right edge of the painting is marked by a dark band. This vertical block closes the composition and accentuates the effect of depth.
The balance between masses and void creates a silent tension. The whole invites reflection on verticality and absence.
This acrylic painting on canvas dates from 195. It is part of a pure abstraction approach. The surface is smooth, highlighting the purity of the flat areas.
