Description
This oil painting on canvas explores the sensation of light. The eye is immediately drawn to a dense center. Dark vertical lines confront each other there. They create a sharp contrast with a background in shades of ochre and sand.
The composition plays with depth. The brushstrokes fade towards the edges of the frame. This gradation suggests an aura or a protective halo. A yellow glow pierces the dark mass. This detail brings a sudden clarity to the heart of the canvas.
The execution is fluid and assured. The artist favors warm tones to establish a serene atmosphere. The balance between areas of shadow and light guides the visual reading. This abstract work, created in 190, relies on the simplicity of forms. It focuses on the interaction between matter and luminosity. The final rendering reveals the grain of the fabric.
