Description
This abstract composition explores the tension between geometry and depth. A dark central block dominates the space. It fragments into horizontal slices. These lines create an ascending rhythm. The eye follows this vertical progression.
The artist uses a monochrome palette. The gray of the background nuances the deep black of the forms. The contrast emphasizes the rigor of the line. Triangular elements flank the main structure. They bring an asymmetrical balance to the whole.
The acrylic on paper technique allows for a matte rendering. The grain of the support dialogues with the precision of the contours. The sobriety of the tones evokes a contemplative atmosphere. The whole relies on a mastery of void and full. The work is signed and dated 2013 in the bottom right.
