Description
Abstraction unfolds here through a sober and controlled chromatic dialogue. Three diagonal bands structure the composition. The gaze glides from a deep green to earthy and dark tones. This play of planes suggests a calm and stable depth.
The technique combines pencil and chalk on paper. The rendering is matte. The material seems to permeate the support to create homogeneous surfaces. Each area is worked with precision to avoid any abrupt break.
The composition plays on the balance of masses. The contrast between the clarity of green and the opacity of brown evokes natural elements. The whole exudes a contemplative serenity.
Realized in 195, this piece testifies to a rigorous formal research. The signature and the date appear discreetly in the bottom right of the paper.
